About this lesson

Reflecting decades of work, Herman students Anna Racicot and Gabrielle Herbertson organized, edited and compiled two books containing hundreds of Herman’s lessons. The books, Earth Journey I and Earth Journey II, are the source of most of the weekly lessons published on this site.
Each of the books contains more than 100 photos of Herman’s paintings, an introduction detailing the history and suggested use of the lessons, and an appendix that contains additional information about the communities practices.
Both books are available for sale through the Earth Journey organization’s online store.
A Herman Rednick Lesson
We are moving on the path of light even as we move through the hours every day. We live creatively this hour. This means that we listen to the moment of spiritual guidance so that this hour is dedicated to the expression of our higher nature. Every moment we can be of service, for the law is that as you give you shall receive.* Though you are alone all day, you can touch people everywhere with a beam of love.
The state of silent intensity means to listen for guidance, not only during meditation but every moment whether you are walking down the street or shopping at Safeway. Any little thing you do can be creative if you are moving with love. This state of creative intensity shall carry over into your sleep and you shall awake with the feeling that you have accomplished some good during the night. Your tone shall not diminish, and every hour you shall be in the presence and service of the spirit.
Living in God is creative in this hour. Every moment I can serve the will of God.
