About this lesson
Reflecting decades of work, Herman students Anna Racicot and Gabrielle Herbertson organized, edited and compiled two books containing hundreds of Herman’s lessons. The books, Earth Journey I and Earth Journey II, are the source of most of the weekly lessons published on this site.
Each of the books contains more than 100 photos of Herman’s paintings, an introduction detailing the history and suggested use of the lessons, and an appendix that contains additional information about the communities practices.
Both books are available for sale through the Earth Journey organization’s online store.
A Herman Rednick Lesson
Throughout the ages, people have been fighting each other, tribe against tribe, nation against nation. Yet there has been an inner brotherhood on earth whose oath is “To serve a brother,” and not one’s self-interest. To be free of the ego and to serve in freedom. This was the key to wisdom and the ancient mysteries. This is the key to the temple built without hands The brotherhood has a responsibility to humanity. We must not fail, otherwise, when you are before the temple gate, a voice will say, “Your name is not in the book.”
