About this lesson

Reflecting decades of work, Herman students Anna Racicot and Gabrielle Herbertson organized, edited and compiled two books containing hundreds of Herman’s lessons. The books, Earth Journey I and Earth Journey II, are the source of most of the weekly lessons published on this site.
Each of the books contains more than 100 photos of Herman’s paintings, an introduction detailing the history and suggested use of the lessons, and an appendix that contains additional information about the communities practices.
Both books are available for sale through the Earth Journey organization’s online store.
A Herman Rednick Lesson
We have all found ourselves in a confused situation, at some crossroads, wondering what direction to take. Shall I take the road to the north or to the west? The whole future is an unknown quantity and all you see is a heavy fog before you.
The first thing to do to solve your dilemma is to calm the mind and generate some love within the heart. Then examine your motive for moving in a certain direction. The direction that is least selfish is the one to take. Thus your rhythm will be in tune with your life purpose which is to express the Christ consciousness. Thus you make your contribution.
