About this lesson
Reflecting decades of work, Herman students Anna Racicot and Gabrielle Herbertson organized, edited and compiled two books containing hundreds of Herman’s lessons. The books, Earth Journey I and Earth Journey II, are the source of most of the weekly lessons published on this site.
Each of the books contains more than 100 photos of Herman’s paintings, an introduction detailing the history and suggested use of the lessons, and an appendix that contains additional information about the communities practices.
Both books are available for sale through the Earth Journey organization’s online store.
A Herman Rednick Lesson
“The Lord is my refuge… I will not be afraid of the terror by night or day.”*
What does it mean when the presence is your ref- uge? You have faith in the plan and that love is a protecting atmosphere wherever you go. You live with devas and the Brothers. Faith strengthens your tie.
What shall we do during the world chaos? Live in the reality of the sacred presence and make it as real as our house and body, breathe it in every minute and carry this stillness within wherever we go. The work we do becomes a yoga every hour. The business is a channel for touching people when we are living in the spirit and are aware of the Christ love within. Nothing of a disturbing nature shall touch us when we carry an atmosphere of love. Everyone is affected.
I was in the war on guard duty in the jungle. The Jap- anese took shots at us, but I knew I was in the right place. I had faith in the presence. While others became shell- shocked I continued to know that Christ lived within me.
I have faith in the presence. Nothing can disturb me when I live in love.**
*Ps 91:2, 5 “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in him I will trust … Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day …”
