About this lesson

Reflecting decades of work, Herman students Anna Racicot and Gabrielle Herbertson organized, edited and compiled two books containing hundreds of Herman’s lessons. The books, Earth Journey I and Earth Journey II, are the source of most of the weekly lessons published on this site.
Each of the books contains more than 100 photos of Herman’s paintings, an introduction detailing the history and suggested use of the lessons, and an appendix that contains additional information about the communities practices.
Both books are available for sale through the Earth Journey organization’s online store.
A Herman Rednick Lesson
To use your talents and your faculties for your best creative movement on the path, you should be in a state of tension. This is not a state of nervous tension. It is a state of sensitive response to the hour and to intuitive guidance within. The hour can be full and rich with the spirit pres- ence. The hour can be dull, or it can vibrate with love and light and an awareness of the need that your brother has. To move steadily and quickly to the Golden City is to be like an archer with a drawn bow, alert to the golden thoughts pouring into you and alert to the full creative use of the hour.
