Doing "The Work"

HEALING

In the process of healing, the first step is to get in touch with the healing angels. When you feel a response within the heart center, you have made the contact. The second step is to visualize the person you want to help.

The need is to clear a channel for the person to be healed between him and the forces of nature. The channel has been blocked through fear, through conflict and resentment, and sometimes through a karmic condition of taking on the condition of another. Whatever it is, the cloud has to be dissolved so that the healing angels can pour in the light and love.

You must be in a calm state to be effective when you visualize the person. Use the mantra, and if you made good contact with the person you are helping, you will feel when the work is done.

Mantra:
The soul within pours light and love and healing upon you.
You are not sick and you are not afraid, for you are the temple of the living God.

HEALING

When healing someone, visualize his image and see that love is glowing in your heart.

In spiritual healing, the disease will seem to get worse before it gets better. This is the period when most people become discouraged and stop doing the healing work. When the disease seem to be getting worse, it is a sign that the elemental in the illness has been affected. More focus on the healing mantra and the healing takes place.

My breath is God.
My soul pours healing fire upon my form.

Healing for Relatives and Friends

We have a new rule for the healing list. We will not place on the list friends or relatives. If they ask you for healing – then it is your work and service. You must learn to take on the responsibility of being a disciple of the Christ.

I AM A DISCIPLE

I made a commitment to walk the path of the Christ. What does this require of me?
I cannot smoke dope or drink alcohol. This would open up negative channels in the brain. I am to meditate at four every morning. This creates a rhythm with the spiri- tual beings. I will not eat meat. Eating meat changes the chemistry of my body so that the pure light cannot come through. I will practice “Love one another,” for this is the key to transformation of my personality. I will be grateful for every experience. This is my school that will prepare me for the temple.

Mantra:
I am grateful to be on the Christ path.

The Work

Herman described the process of putting his teachings into practice as "The work." This section contains some of his lessons that describe conceptual concepts as well as actual practices that supported that work. Love everyone -- how on earth can you do that? How do I connect with the Christ and the angelic host? Methods of healing. Dealing with the difficulties of everyday life. These issues and more are touched on here.

HERMAN REDNICK PRACTICES FOR THE PATH OF LOVE

Herman Rednick Practices.

One central issue that many students of Herman faced was how to fulfill the fundamental Christ instruction: Love one Another.  Often a student would come to Herman for guidance on how to resolve a problem they were experiencing for a family member, parent or friend.  “Send the a beam of love” he would reply.  “But I’m doing that” most students would reply.  To which he always responded: “Love more.”  How exactly do we do that?

Herman fundamental practices described by the editors in the introductions of the Earth Journey Books.

100 Christ-centered lessons

In 2002, Robert Van Arsdale collected 100 of Herman’s Christ-focused lessons and self-published them in a booklet titled “The Cosmic Christ.” The content is available here.

Poems and Music

Herman described many of his experiences on the spiritual path, both worldly and other worldly, in poetry.   The poems, his words, and other writings inspired songs written by a handful of his musically talented students.

Poetry: A collection of his poetry was published in the book “Hidden Door to Reality.” These are a few selected from that book.
Songs:
Meditation sessions with Herman began and/or ended with music written and sung by class members. You can listen to a few here.

HERMAN REDNICK LESSONS

About these Lessons
There is a group in northern New Mexico that meets weekly. One or two of Herman’s lessons are read. These become the focus of the week’s meditations. As it has been since the very beginning of Herman’s teachings, those gathered read aloud reflections on their meditations, contributing and expanding our understanding of the teachings

Lesssons – A chronological listing of the weekly lessons with links to the lessons themselves.
Titles – An alphabetical listing of the titles of the lessons, with links.
Mantras – An alphabetical listing of the mantras of the lessons, with links.
First Lines – An alphabetic listing of the first line of each lesson, with links.
